Growing up, Cooper was a natural athlete. In 2011, the Ellington’s world was turned upside down when Cooper was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor and almost died during surgery. As a result of tumor and subsequent surgery, Cooper had to learn to both walk and talk all over again.
God began to work in Cooper’s life and he quickly became an inspiration to many. In January of 2015, Cooper felt the Lord leading him to share his story and testimony with others. Part of that testimony is the amount of healing his doctors attribute to his singing. He now goes to churches, and other events, sharing his story of God’s Amazing Grace. Cooper is quick to give God the Glory and to acknowledge the power of prayer. This young man leaves a lasting impression with his boldness for the Gospel and passion to encourage and uplift others.
